SUMMARY:Petroleum Engineering for non Petroleum Engineer
DESCRIPTION:Background & About the Course:\nThe oil and gas industry is one of the most critical sectors in the global economy\, influencing energy markets and industrial growth. For professionals outside the field of petroleum engineering\, understanding the fundamental principles and operations of the industry is essential to effectively contribute to projects\, collaborate with technical teams\, and make informed decisions. \nTherefore this three-day training program is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to petroleum engineering for non-petroleum engineers. Participants will explore the basics of petroleum geology\, reservoir engineering\, drilling\, production\, and field management. Through simplified explanations and practical insights\, the course bridges the knowledge gap\, enabling participants to grasp the technical aspects of petroleum engineering and its application in the industry. \nCourse Objectives:\n\nUnderstand the fundamentals of petroleum geology and reservoir engineering.\nLearn the processes involved in oil and gas exploration and production.\nRecognize the key components and technologies used in drilling and production.\nDevelop a foundational understanding of field management and asset optimization.\nCommunicate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders in the oil and gas industry.\n\nWho Should Attend:\n\nBusiness professionals and managers working in the oil and gas industry.\nNon-technical staff seeking to understand petroleum engineering basics.\nFinancial analysts\, consultants\, and legal advisors in the energy sector.\nProject managers and procurement specialists involved in oil and gas operations.\nAnyone interested in gaining insights into petroleum engineering.\n\nCourse Content:\n\nIntroduction to the Oil and Gas Industry\n\nOverview of the energy market\nRole of oil and gas in global energy supply\n\n\nPetroleum Geology Basics\n\nFormation and types of hydrocarbons\nExploration techniques and reservoir identification\n\n\nReservoir Engineering Fundamentals\n\nReservoir properties and behavior\nPrinciples of fluid flow and recovery methods\n\n\nDrilling Operations\n\nTypes of drilling rigs and equipment\nDrilling processes and safety considerations\n\n\nProduction Engineering\n\nOil and gas extraction methods\nSurface facilities and production optimization\n\n\nField Development and Management\n\nPlanning and managing oil and gas fields\nEnhanced oil recovery techniques\n\n\nEnvironmental and Economic Considerations\n\nSustainability in oil and gas operations\nEconomic analysis and project feasibility\n\n\n\nAbout the Trainer:\nIr. Jumanada\, K\, MT \nMr. Jumanda\, a dedicated lecturer\, has conducted nearly 280 training sessions (both public and in-house) for various industries\, with a strong focus on oil and gas companies since 1997. He holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Institute Technology Bandung. In addition\, he has completed nine specialized courses in the oil and gas sector at PETEX (Petroleum Extension)\, University of Texas at Austin\, in Houston\, Texas\, USA\, in 2018. \nApart from his formal education\, Mr. Jumanda possesses numerous professional certifications. These include a Lecturer Certificate from the Indonesian Minister of Education\, Construction\, Electrical\, and Fire Protection Certificates from the HSE Association Indonesia.

SUMMARY:Power Plant - Waste Water Treatment (Training Workshop)
DESCRIPTION:Background & About the Course:\nEspecially for coal fired Power Plant\, Waste Water Treatment needs serious attention. \nWastewater Treatment (WWT) management is essential in line with Q-HSE programs and operations\, especially for large-scale industries. In Indonesia\, WWT is mandated by law\, specifically under Government Regulation PP 22 of 2021\, which emphasizes environmental protection. Industries must comply with established quality standards\, including regulations from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (menLH) regarding industrial and domestic wastewater. The government encourages industries to recycle wastewater to improve river conditions. Therefore\, companies must enhance their commitment to improving WWT performance\, ensuring reliable and accountable equipment. \nCourse Objectives:\nAfter attending this WWT training\, participants are expected to: \n\nUnderstand the latest environmental regulations regarding industrial and domestic wastewater.\nRecognize the characteristics of wastewater and map its sources.\nComprehend anaerobic biological processes\, design\, operation\, and volumetric organic loading calculations.\nImprove existing operational systems and comply with applicable regulations.\n\nWho Should Attend:\nThis training is recommended for: \n\nQ-HSE personnel\nEnvironmental Engineers\, Supervisors\, and Operators\nField Managers ensuring compliance with wastewater regulations\n\nCourse Outline:\n\nLatest Environmental Regulations: Understanding PERTEK & SLO for industrial and domestic wastewater.\nWastewater Characteristics: Mapping sources\, identifying ammonia\, phenol\, organic waste (BOD5 and COD)\, and other parameters.\nGovernment Regulations: Overview of PP 22/2021\, menLH No. 5/2014\, No. 8/2009\, No. 68/2016\, and monitoring regulations.\nPhysical and Chemical Processes: Design and operation\, including hydraulic retention time (HRT) and hydraulic surface loading (HSL).\nAnaerobic Biological Processes: Design\, operation\, and calculations for various anaerobic systems (e.g.\, CSTR\, UASB).\nAerobic Biological Processes: Design\, operation\, and key metrics (COD\, BOD load\, MLSS\, DO).\nNitrification and Denitrification: Design\, operation\, and calculations for ammonia conversion and blower requirements.\nPost-Treatment and Recycling: Concepts of second clarifiers\, media filters\, disinfection\, and reuse.\nTroubleshooting: Managing shock loads\, foaming issues\, sludge problems\, and effluent quality monitoring.\nSolid Treatment Plant: Overview of MLSS\, sludge treatment processes\, and equipment (e.g.\, thickening\, dewatering).\n\n\n\nABOUT THE COURSE LEADER:\nIr.
