SUMMARY:Integrated Reservoir Management
DESCRIPTION:Background:\nIntegrated Reservoir Management (IRM) is a structured approach to maximize the value of hydrocarbon assets by combining G&G\, Reservoir Engineering\, Drilling\, Completion\, Production\, and Economic considerations into a single framework. Through effective integration of data and disciplines\, operators can improve recovery factors\, extend field life\, and optimize development plans. This is where “Integrated” play crucial roles. \nIn practice\, however\, many engineers tend to focus narrowly on their own disciplines. These siloed approaches lead to inefficiencies\, missed opportunities\, and suboptimal recovery. A proper IRM program helps overcome these bad habits by fostering collaboration\, aligning objectives\, and ensuring every decision accounts for both well performance and reservoir sustainability. \nObjectives:\n\nUnderstand the principles and importance of integrated reservoir management\nRecognize the risks of siloed decision-making and the value of cross-disciplinary collaboration\nStrengthening Production & Operations involvement in reservoir management\nApply multidisciplinary approaches to reservoir characterization and development\nEvaluate production performance and identify opportunities for reservoir optimization\nDevelop reservoir surveillance programs and integrate monitoring data\nApply enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and improved oil recovery (IOR) strategies.\nBuild effective collaboration between geoscience\, engineering\, and operations teams.\n\nRecommended Participants: \n\n\n\nReservoir Engineers\nGeologists and Geophysicists\nProduction and Petroleum Engineers\nDrilling and Completion Engineers\nField Development Planners\nDecision Makers in Reservoir Development\n\n\n\nCourse Outline:\n1. SUMMARY:Oil & Gas Reserves and Resources Evaluation
DESCRIPTION:BACKGROUND:\nUnderstanding and calculating oil & gas reserves is a vital part of reserves and resources evaluation. Moreover\, it is essential for asset management\, investment decisions\, and ensuring regulatory compliance. SUMMARY:Rig and Equipment Selection
DESCRIPTION:Background:\nRig and equipment selection is a critical early decision in drilling planning that directly affects safety\, operational efficiency\, cost\, and overall project success. Inappropriate rig selection can lead to operational limitations\, excessive non-productive time (NPT)\, or increased HSE exposure.
