Peralatan yang digunakan sebagai acuan harus dapat ditelusuri secara langsung ke peralatan yang dikalibrasi sesuai ISO/IEC 17025. \nTujuan kalibrasi adalah untuk meminimalkan ketidakpastian pengukuran dengan memastikan keakuratan peralatan uji. Kalibrasi mengkuantifikasi dan mengendalikan kesalahan atau ketidakpastian dalam proses pengukuran ke tingkat yang dapat diterima. \nKalibrasi MUTLAK perlu dilakukan untuk menentukan keakuratan & kualitas pengukuran yang dicatat menggunakan peralatan. DESCRIPTION:BACKGROUND:\nBOILER\, Pengoperasian Burner System: Coal\, Main Oil Gun\, Tiny Oil Gun. \nPada Pembangkit berbahan bakar batubara\, proses start awal boiler tidak bisa langsung menggunakan batubara karena temperatur di furnace masih rendah. Untuk menaikkan temperatur furnace maka digunakan bahan bakar HSD (High Speed Diesel) melalui alat main oil gun. Pada main oil gun terdapat dua saluran utama yaitu saluran bahan bakar HSD dan saluran atomizing air. Sedangkan untuk penyalaan awal pada main oil gun menggunakan ignitor. \nKonsumsi bahan bakar HSD sangat besar\, yang menyebabkan biaya operasi akan meningkat. Ini tentunya tidak sejalan dengan kebijakan perusahaan dalam usaha penghematan.
