SUMMARY:Formation Damage & Well Stimulation
DESCRIPTION:Background:\nFormation damage is often unavoidable and remains one of the major contributors to lost well productivity and injectivity throughout the life of an oil and gas well. From drilling and completion to production and workover operations\, improper fluid selection\, mechanical disturbances\, and chemical incompatibilities can significantly impair near-wellbore and reservoir performance. Therefor Formation Damage & Well Stimulation often come as one package after drilling. \nBeyond understanding formation damage mechanisms\, engineers are increasingly required to design and implement effective well stimulation strategies to restore or enhance well productivity. Acidizing\, hydraulic fracturing\, and other stimulation techniques must be properly selected\, designed\, and evaluated based on reservoir characteristics\, damage mechanisms\, and operational constraints. \nThis course provides an integrated understanding of formation damage diagnosis and well stimulation solutions\, enabling participants to identify damage\, prevent its occurrence\, and apply the most appropriate stimulation techniques to maximize well performance in sandstone\, carbonate\, and unconventional reservoirs. \nTraining Objectives:\n\n\nUnderstand formation damage mechanisms in sandstones\, carbonates\, and shales \n\n\nIdentify damage sources throughout the well lifecycle\, from drilling to production and workover \n\n\nDiagnose formation damage using production data\, pressure analysis\, and logging tools \n\n\nEvaluate damage severity and stimulation candidacy \n\n\nSelect appropriate well stimulation techniques (non-acid\, acidizing\, hydraulic fracturing) \n\n\nUnderstand the principles\, limitations\, and risks of acidizing and fracturing treatments \n\n\nIntegrate formation damage diagnosis with effective stimulation design to improve well productivity and injectivity \n\n\nWho Should Attend:\n\n\nProduction Engineers \n\n\nCompletion & Well Intervention Engineers \n\n\nReservoir Engineers \n\n\nDrilling Engineers \n\n\nPetroleum & Geological Engineers \n\n\nField Supervisors & Production Foremen \n\n\nEngineering Technicians \n\n\nProduction\, Reservoir\, and Asset Managers \n\n\nApplicable for professionals involved in: \n\n\nVertical\, horizontal\, and multilateral wells \n\n\nConventional and unconventional reservoirs \n\n\nOil\, gas\, and injection wells \n\n\nTraining Outline:\n1.
