Background & About the Course,
(Pengendalian Pencemaran Udara) The Operational Responsible Officer for Air Pollution Control Installation (POIPPU) (Training dan Sertifikasi BNSP – POIPPU is responsible for planning, operating, optimizing air pollution control equipment, maintaining this equipment, and executing emergency responses related to air pollution control.
Regulations for POIPPU:
According to the Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia No. P.6/MENLHK/Setjen/Kum.1/2/2018 concerning Standards and Certification of Competence for Operational Responsible Officers of Air Pollution Control Installations and Air Pollution Control Officers
Course Objectives
Upon completing this training, participants will:
- Receive training and certification in air pollution control.
- Understand environmental regulations regarding air quality monitoring and control.
- Be able to inventory, identify, name, and code all emission sources within their company.
- Comprehend and apply all requirements for air quality monitoring and control.
- Develop a strategic emission monitoring plan for their company.
- Be guided in creating a portfolio, participating in pre-assessments, written exams, and interviews to obtain a Competency Certificate from BNSP.

About the Course Leader
Ir. Dwi Handaya, ST., MK3., IPM is a Waste Water Treatment Specialist with over 25 years of experience in the field, both nationally and internationally (Germany, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Singapore, Malaysia, and others). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Environment and HSE from the University of Indonesia. Currently, he serves as an advisor and expert council member at the Indonesian Water Association (www.idwa.or.id).
Ir. Dwi has supported various projects in Waste Water Treatment (WWT), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), Potable Water Treatment (PWT), and Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) across different sectors. He has also contributed to several power generation industries, including PLTU Pangkalan Susu and PLTU Lontar, as well as recycling programs in the PLN UID Jakarta area. In addition to his practical industry experience, he has taught at over 300 training events and seminars.
