Background & About the Course:
The Water Pollution Control Officer (PPPA) is a person responsible for the internal prevention and mitigation of water pollution caused by all production activities. According to the Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia No. P.5/MENLHK/SETJEN/KUM.1/2/2018 regarding Standards and Certification of Competence for Operational Wastewater Treatment Officers and Water Pollution Control Officers, it is mandatory for Water Pollution Control Officers to possess a competency certificate to carry out their duties effectively.
This training program aims to ensure that participants acquire the necessary competencies to meet national requirements for water pollution control. Participants will learn to identify pollution sources, assess pollution levels, and operate wastewater treatment installations effectively.
Course Objectives:
– Assess and ensure the competency of personnel in the role of Water Pollution Control Officer to meet national standards.
– Maintain the competency of personnel in the role of Water Pollution Control Officer to ensure compliance with national requirements.

Requirements
- Minimum education of Senior High School (SMA) or Vocational High School (SMK)

About the Course Leaders
Ir. Dwi Handaya, ST., MK3., IPM is a Wastewater Treatment Specialist with over 25 years of practical experience in the field, both nationally and internationally (Germany, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Singapore, Malaysia, and others). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Environment and HSE from the University of Indonesia. Currently, he serves as an advisor and expert council member at the Indonesian Water Association (www.idwa.or.id).
Ir. Dwi has supported various projects in wastewater treatment (WWT), effluent treatment plants (ETP), potable water treatment (PWT), and sewage treatment plants (STP) across different sectors. He has also contributed to several power generation industries, including PLTU Pangkalan Susu, PLTU Lontar, and the recycling program for PLN UID Jakarta area. In addition to his practical industry experience, he has taught at over 300 training events and seminars.
