The inspection and testing of electrical grounding systems are vital for any building and its equipment. In capital-intensive industries such as refineries, oil and gas, petrochemicals, and tank yards, lightning damage can lead to significant financial losses and production interruptions.
Additionally, the risks to personnel, including minor and serious injuries or fatalities, medical costs, and recovery expenses for the entire production system, can be substantial. All these hazards and losses can be mitigated by enhancing the knowledge and skills of all involved through this training.

About the Course Leaders
Dr. Toto Tohir, ST., MT & Ali Mashar, M.Eng.Sc., IPU
Dr. Toto Tohir earned his Doctorate from Gadjah Mada University (UGM) after obtaining his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). He holds several professional certifications, including Professional Engineer from PII, Electrical Engineering Expert from PII, Occupational Health and Safety Expert from the Ministry of Manpower, and Low Voltage Electrical Installation Expert from BNSP. He is also a Professional Lecturer certified by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education.
Dr. Tohir has been a lecturer at Politeknik Negeri Bandung (POLBAN) since 1989 and is an active professional consultant for various organizations, including PT. Kereta Api Indonesia, PT. LEN Indonesia, the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation, and others.
He has worked on significant projects such as the Control System and Communication Network for PT. KAI in collaboration with ADB, the National Smart Grid Solar Cell Project, and various electrical installations and testing projects. In addition to teaching and consulting, Dr. Tohir frequently shares his expertise through training sessions for companies like KemNaker, BNSP, Petrogas, Geoservices, and Indonesia Power.
