Onshore Facilities Infrastructure-Design, Constructions & Operation Optimization

DESCRIPTION:

Onshore oil and gas facilities are among the most complex systems in the energy sector. These facilities require a skilled and competent team to implement fully integrated approaches throughout the entire lifecycle—from initial studies and design planning to construction, startup operations, and ongoing post-commissioning processes.

A crucial part of this lifecycle includes conducting thorough post-startup reviews, optimization efforts, and effective asset integrity management to ensure that assets remain available and reliable. These practices not only enhance operational efficiency but also contribute to overall safety in the workplace.

This advanced training session is designed to cover various aspects, including essential technical components such as design, as well as broader topics like construction management, contract management, and asset management. Participants will gain insights into how to navigate the complexities of onshore operations effectively.

OBJECTIVES:

After completing this training, participants will gain:

  • A solid understanding of essential codes and regulations governing the industry.
  • Assurance that the site and routing of facilities adhere to all requirements.
  • The ability to apply mechanical and physical principles to piping, hydraulics, and material selection.
  • Skills to implement Safety in Design principles effectively.
  • Techniques for identifying unique design constraints specific to onshore facilities.
  • The capability to conduct comprehensive post-commissioning reviews and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Knowledge of best practices in Operation and Asset Integrity Management.

LEARNING SYLLABUS:

  • Overview of industry codes and regulations
  • Key elements of feasibility studies
  • Site Survey and Right of Way (RoW) determination
  • Mechanical and process design fundamentals
  • System sizing and design considerations
  • Equipment selection criteria and methods
  • Safety in Design overview
  • Stages of construction and effective contract management
  • Post-production design review and optimization strategies
  • Operation and Asset Integrity/Reliability Management practices

TARGETED PARTICIPANTS:

This training is specifically aimed at Process, Pipeline & Project Engineers, Operation & Maintenance Supervisors, Regulatory & Compliance personnel, and others looking to enhance their skills in the oil and gas industry. It is designed for individuals eager to expand their knowledge in planning, construction, startup, post-production, and asset management of onshore oil and gas facilities.
