Kalibrasi dan Ketidakpastian Pengukuran

BACKGROUND & ABOUT THE COURSE:
Kalibrasi adalah proses membandingkan pembacaan suatu peralatan atau sistem dengan peralatan lain yang telah dikalibrasi & dijadikan referensi terhadap sekumpulan parameter yang diketahui. Peralatan yang digunakan sebagai acuan harus dapat ditelusuri secara langsung ke peralatan yang dikalibrasi sesuai ISO/IEC 17025.
Tujuan kalibrasi adalah untuk meminimalkan ketidakpastian pengukuran dengan memastikan keakuratan peralatan uji. Kalibrasi mengkuantifikasi dan mengendalikan kesalahan atau ketidakpastian dalam proses pengukuran ke tingkat yang dapat diterima.
Kalibrasi MUTLAK perlu dilakukan untuk menentukan keakuratan & kualitas pengukuran yang dicatat menggunakan peralatan. Seiring berjalannya waktu, ada kecenderungan hasil & akurasi ‘bergeser’ saat menggunakan teknologi tertentu atau mengukur parameter tertentu seperti suhu, kelembapan, laju alir, dal lain-lain. Agar yakin akan hasil yang diukur, dibutuhkan kalibrasi rutin agar pengukuran dapat diandalkan, akurat, serta tidak menimbulkan bahaya yang tidak perlu.

Ali Mashar, M.Eng.Sc., IPU: Expert in Power and Control Engineering
Ali Mashar, M.Eng.Sc., IPU, is a distinguished electrical engineer with expertise in power and control systems. A graduate of the prestigious University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney, Australia, he has a rich professional background in academia and industry. He has served as the Head of the Energy Conversion Engineering Study Program at Poltek ITB (POLBAN) and is a dedicated lecturer. Additionally, he leads the Energy Engineering Laboratory at PEDC.
