About the Course:

Gas is a highly flammable material that requires careful control and handling. Understanding how to anticipate and measure potential hazards is crucial to ensuring safety in various industrial applications. This course equips participants with essential knowledge to assess gas hazards in the workplace and apply effective measurement techniques.

By mastering gas hazards identification and measurement, participants can enhance workplace safety, minimize risks, and comply with health and safety regulations. The course covers the physical properties, toxicity, and flammability of various gases, providing a comprehensive understanding of gas-related risks and mitigation strategies.

Course Objectives:

  • Identify common gas hazards and associated risks
  • Understand the properties and dangers of gases such as H2S, SO2, CO, CO2, and hydrocarbons
  • Apply techniques to detect and measure hazardous gases
  • Implement effective gas leak prevention and fire protection measures
  • Operate and maintain personal gas monitors and detection equipment
  • Utilize respiratory protection, including SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus)

Who Should Attend:

  • Process Safety Engineers
  • Operations and Maintenance Personnel
