Fundamentals of Machinery Lubrication

BACKGROUND:
Fundamental of Machinary Lubrication knowledge are very essential to those working on rotating equipment & maintenance. Bearings are machine components support and position the rotor of the machine to ensure they are in the correct position. Supported by proper lubrication and the availability of power then; The rotor rotates with the correct alignment; The machine is free from excessive vibration; The rotor and stator are free from excessive friction so that the power supply is still within the allowable reasonable range.
The rotor and stator are free from excessive wear with the above conditions, the chance of operational failure can be minimized. What is being so called catalist for those three components to works as human being wanted? It is a lubricant. Knowing all of these hence let’s have a deeper knowledge and make our operation & maintenance better.
